Dragons, Dragons and Dragons! Oh my!
Get ready for the 31st (holy shit) Everquest expansion.
This expansion was great in some aspects and challenging in others. With 6 beautiful new zones, 4 missions and new evolving cock rings… things were looking up! Until we got to the raids (more on that later). Those dirty rangers now could be Dark Elves and one super cool thing was the activated key ring (the clickies finally have a home versus overflowing your bags), additional spell slot, 2 more buff effect slots and a … “special” AA Aureates Bane.. to click if a named or boss casted the Curse of Subjugation spell on you. If I only took a shot for every time I heard “Bane if you got it”, I’d be completely smashed (and I was).
It’s been a while so go grab a beer and gather around while we go over some of the raids and highlights of the year. Daddy Chill!
A very noticeable change to this year for raiding was that the tanks had to be on their shit! Being able to maneuver and drag bosses into auras, facing them and adjusting them into place if failed could cuck us completely (think Hoodstock and HPY). Lots of DPS and healing checks per the usual but I will say kudos to our tanks … hell even Tajin learned how to shoot lasers from his swords to ensure we would win!
Overall raiding this expansion was more positive than negative. There were some cool DB implementations with Dock of the Bay closing the docks before a plane full of dragons showed up, or avoiding getting gunned down by cannons in Silence the Cannons. The Simon says raid in Theatre of Eternity was definitely a meh raid but most were fast paced events with some mezzing thrown in … was a nice change of pace versus dick in hand raids like Unkempt Woods last expansion. Even the lore about boarding a huge Dragon and eventually entering the heart of it in Chamber of Pussyiance was cool. Speaking of … competition of the biggest pussy …
Before you go off talking about animal rights … this was a sanctioned fight regulated by OGC and Milehiggh’s pet volunteered so back tf up!
In short we crushed ToB like the gangsters we are and here is the proof:
Missing Control Room and Hoodstock but trust me we took them out as well.
Also this year has been a bittersweet with some long time members taking breaks and long time members returning to help us tear it up in the new expansion Shattering of Ro! We are looking forward to this expansion and we have been raiding as a guild in Beta to be ultra prepared for when it drops.
